Kolomyia is the magical shopping and economic heartland of Prykarpattya. It has a rich and glorious history as well as being the spiritual, cultural and art center of the area. The principal goal of the city administration is the economic development of our industries.
We are eager to improve the development of our city through partnerships and mutually beneficial agreements with partners who will collaborate with us in rebuilding an ecologically friendly business environment. Potential areas of opportunities identified to-date are: Farm machinery manufacture, agricultural techniques, pulp and paper products, electrical engineering products, food industry as well as the ecological infrastructure for the city.
The industrial make up of the city is as follows:

- 330 non-food retail enterprises,
- 184 food related retail enterprises,
- 123 restaurant and catering establiswhments,
- 120 service enterprises,
- 10 operating markets
- 1300 legal private enterprises employing 5700 people.
The City Council is open to mutually benefitial partnership and financial arrangements which would enhance the economic well-being of our city and improve our ecological impacts.
